It was a glorious morning. I walked out of my house to be greeted by morning dew covered leaves, flowers, cars and damp road. Our drive to the park was uneventful. The only exciting part was when we missed the newly opened flyover and had to take an alternative route.

The park was beautiful. Neat, clean and just the occasional empty bottles and cups lying around because of one or two irresponsible people. Other than that, there were quite a number of people living the healthy lifestyle.

We wasted no time trying to catch the morning light, but the sun played hide and seek throughout the morning. This was one of the first few RM388 Portraits Promotion sessions.

The park was filled with people from all walks of life. Most of them came with their kids… and some with their doggies.

It was indeed a challenge to frame the subject and the background without the crowd.

but we managed anyways. Most of them were courteous enough to move out of the way or wait for us to click. Thanks guys :)

When the sun become a little bit too overwhelming to stay out in the park, we moved indoors. A quick of change of clothes later, we were back in action!

It was a quick and fun photoshoot. It was still morning when the photoshoot concluded, so to end the photoshoot…

.. a nice hearty breakfast…

http://i575.photobucket.com/albums/ss200/shutterfingers/Model%20Photoshoot/Michelle%20Portrat%20Promo/44f73762.jpg?t=1283063126

.. and a cup of freshly brewed coffee.

What a great Sunday morning! Met up with two wonderful people, one of whom is Jason’s long lost colleague, while the other is someone from my kampung! Talk about coincidence! Plus, we had a nice morning walk around the park (while photoshooting) and finally a nice healthy breakfast. And we were back home before the morning was over!

Ahhh… all Sunday mornings should be like this :)

It was a rare opportunity for us to be able to work with Ms. Soo Wincci and Ms. Cindy Chen. Some may know who were they and some may not. They are our very own Miss World Malaysia 2008/2009 Beauty Queens. Miss Soo Wincci was crowned the winner of Miss World Malaysia 2008/2009. Miss Cindy Chen grabbed 1st runner-up position.

Besides having the crown in her hand, Ms. Soo Wincci also was the 1st Miss World Malaysia to come out with self-composition singing album.

Source from YouTube

Cindy on the other hand dabbled a little with acting as well as commercial advertising and of course, modelling. She has also made several appearences in various magazines

Some may think beauty queens have attitudes, not this two I must say, both Wincci and Cindy are really friendly and bubbly especially once the ice has been broken. Working with them on a shoot was a breeze as they were very highly professional and experience in their work, which provided us so much inspirations and energy throughout the entire shooting that lasted almost the whole day.

We were blessed with wonderful weather. It started out bright and sunny with clear blue skies.

Photobucket

But it was a little too much to have the sun hitting us full blast without the cover of some clouds. But it was all good as clouds began to form and provided much needed relive from the direct sun.

Back to our two models, they were really fun to work with. Accomodating, cheerful and always smiling, these two have a wonderful relationship and their closeness contributed much to the photoshoot.

Photobucket

We ended the shoot at about 5pm and we headed home for much needed rest. But not before we have the opportunity to have a photo taken with the two lovely ladies.

Stay tuned for updates from the photoshoot itself.

If you do not know who Jerry is, look him up at www.jerryghionisphotography.com.

Both Jason and I have been following him on the Interent for sometime. And when a friend pointed out to us the seminar, we jumped and immediately signed up. Unfortunately my connection that week was as unstable as the me on a surf board. Fortunately, Jason has got a better connection that day and before lunch, we got ourselves registered!

Photobucket

So early in the morning, we woke up early and excitedly made our way there and we were about an hour early. Just nice for a nice breakfast nearby.

Photobucket

Photobucket

We got in at about 9am and the place was already packed. We had to sit almost to the back. Well, one more row and we were at the back. So I would like apologize upfront for some shots taken from where I was sitting, hence some heads in between at the foreground. It’s rather strange how we are 30 minutes (some were an hour) early for Jerry’s Seminar but are often an hour or so late for wedding dinners. Strange also that we line up nicely to buy 4D numbers but jump queues on the road.

Photobucket
PickPockets. A very interesting card-sized photos with details of the shots at the back.

Anyways, Alan and Cow came along as well.

Photobucket

And we met up with many familiar faces.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

We mingled and caught up with friends whom we have not met for sometime.

Photobucket

Jerry himself was mingling as well. Friendly fella. Tall. But friendly. He challenged many of us to radical but often ‘good for us’ approaches. He also showed us many ways of bringing out emotions and various other techniques which I actually tried to use on a wedding shoot which was the very next morning.

Photobucket
Jerry demonstrating something here.

Photobucket
Lots of demonstrations.

Jerry showed us many examples of his work. How he turned a simple location to a beautiful photo. Inspired, we took the opportunity during tea break to take some shots.

And even during lunch break.

And last but not least…
